My Lord,

In confirmation of my telegram of

the 15th. instant, I have the honour to state that the

enclosed amendment of the Patents Amendment Ordinance

(No. 22 of 1909) has been proposed by the Crown Solicitor

and that the question of amending and consolidating the

Patents Ordinance is now being considered by the Law

Officers and the Registrar of Trade Marks and Letters

Patent.

I propose to submit the consolidat-

-ing bill to Your Lordship in draft in order that the

opinion of the Board of Trade may be obtained thereon be-

-fore the bill is introduced into Legislative Council.
